Holly offers residents and guests plenty of opportunities to have fun. History enthusiasts can relive the glory days of Holly’s railroads at the Detroit Model Railroad Club or delve deep into our heritage at the Hadley House/Holly Historical Museum.

Holly hosts a variety of restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops.
During the summer months, Main Street Holly DDA and the Holly Area Community Coalition sponsor “Movies on Battle Alley”, outdoor movies for kids and families.
Community Events
Holly is home to the world-famous Dickens Old Fashioned Christmas Festival (weekends following Thanksgiving). Community Play Day (in September), and many other fantastic community events. Main Street Holly DDA sponsors Ladies Night Out in May and November.

Parks, Playgrounds, Sports and Recreation
There are activities for every sports enthusiast out there in Holly! Holly Township Parks & Recreation offers adult softball leagues and many other fitness and recreational programs, as well as managing public swimming at Holly High School. Headwaters Trails, Inc., sponsors several canoe/kayak events on the Shiawassee River. The Holdridge Lakes Mountain Bike Trails in Holly Township are groomed and maintained by local members of the Clinton-Huron Area Mountain Biking Association.
Numerous sports programs are offered for area youth, including Holly Little League, Holly Youth Football, AYSO Soccer, and more.
The Village of Holly is also home to five parks: Crapo Park and Cyclone Park in the downtown, Lakeside Park on picturesque Bush Lake, Ganshaw Park overlooking Bevins Lake, and Waterworks Park on the Shiawassee River. Sorensen Park is operated by Holly Township Parks and Recreation, and Patterson Elementary and Holly Elementary offer public playgrounds for kids and grown-up kids.
Holly is also home to Seven Lakes State Park and the Holly Recreation Area in neighboring Groveland Township. Both parks provide rustic and modern camping, swimming and water sports, hiking, hunting and fishing.
For winter-lovers, Holly’s lakes are ideal for ice-fishing. Mt. Holly on Dixie Highway is Southeast Michigan’s premiere ski resort.
Shopping
Holly’s Historic Downtown is a booming shopper’s paradise, with stores and boutiques full of Michigan-made and hand-crafted products, specialty food items, clothing and antiques. Winglemire Furniture is a sesquicentennial Michigan businesses. Most stores are open after 5 p.m. and have special hours and sales during community events.
The North District of Holly provides the necessities of life in one convenient location, including groceries, sundries, dry cleaning, flowers, hardware, and auto supplies.
